We are proud to have become the first aviation distributor of Piloti shoes
In searching for the best footwear for the aerobatic pilot we discovered Piloti shoes. Piloti was established in 1999 in California USA predominantly for the motorsport market. The features that make these shoes ideal for the racing driver also make them ideal for the Aerobatic Pilot.
The Unique blend of styling and comfort also makes Piloti shoes great for everyday use on the streets. Specialist ranges also make them perfect for Karting (the Motorsport Ingels), or for biking (the Moto 800).
Why are Piloti Shoes uniquely ideal for the Aerobatic Pilot?
Key features include:
- A spherical heel for unique cushioning behind the heel bone while in the aeroplane. Once outside the aeroplane, it supports your natural stride with a rubber heel wrap for durability and grip. This also allows the foot to twist naturally with the movement of the rudder pedals as the heel slides lightly on the rudder/floor guides without bias to the balls of the feet.
- Athletic construction offers good cushioning under the foot. The unique "Toe Spring" aids in all-day comfort in and out of the aeroplane. The flexible but non-compressing thin sole forward from the ball-of-the-foot gives accurate and precise rudder control and feedback to the pilot.
- Reinforced Lateral Side to minimise mid-shoe flexing, which could compromise the angle of the foot on the rudder pedal. It also allows for easy heel-to-toe shifting between rudder pedal and break, such as is required during the landing roll-out to gain more sensitive directional control. Additionally, the reinforced upper and outsole rubber wraps up the side of the midsole.
- High-quality suede’s and leathers with pigskin and tongue facings.
- Removable sock liner supports orthopaedic needs.

Roll Control™
Piloti’s patented Roll Control™ spherical heel system is designed to counteract heat and vibration related foot problems. It extends the cushioning up the heel and along the sides of the shoe and also at the forefoot to cushion the contact with the sides of the foot well.
